Scattering Light On Kindle

A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.

Chinese Proverb

I cherish books.  Old books, new books, whimsical books and serious books.  Before the rise of e-books, I never travelled without half a dozen books in my suitcase, just in case.  Now, with e-readers and reading apps, I am never without hundreds of thousands of books instantly available to me.  It is yet another reminder that we live in a miraculous world.

I am thrilled to share with you that my first book, A Scattering of Light: Inspiration for Finding Peace on a Windy Day, is now available on Kindle (and on any of the free Kindle Apps–please see below).  To create this book, I collected some of my favorite articles from this website and, where appropriate, revised and expanded them.  Gathered here are lessons from some of my favorite myths and legends, wisdom collected from traditions around the globe and my own musings.  Also included are some of my favorite quotations and over two dozen color photographs.

It is my hope this book will be a garden you can carry in your pocket, available to you whenever you need a reminder that all the beauty you seek you already hold within.

(Books purchased through Amazon Kindle may be read on any of the free Kindle Apps, as well as on the various Kindle models.  There are currently apps available for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android, Android Tablet, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry, Windows and Mac. You can also read any Kindle book directly on your internet browser using the free Kindle Cloud Reader.)
